VISION
Protect and enhance biodiversity through innovative and transparent monitoring services, provided by indigenous people and local communities
Research indicates that while the world’s 370 million indigenous people comprise less than 5% of the global population, they manage over 25% of the world’s land surface and support 80% of the world’s biodiversity.
At Kumbe, we recognize the resilience of these local communities and support their efforts to conserve biodiversity by offering accessible tools, training, employment, and opportunities for sustainable financing.
Working together with these communities, Kumbe provides services to conservation organisations, helping them obtain accurate, high-quality data to monitor biodiversity trends and enhance conservation efforts. This work is crucial in safeguarding ecosystems from threats like habitat loss, fragmentation, degradation, and overexploitation.
